This is a remote position and to ensure successful collaboration for our teams, you will preferably be located in PST timezone .ResponsibilitiesAbout the RoleOur FP&A team exists to set long and short term growth targets, while helping the business make financially strategic decisions that support these plans.
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Strategic Finance, Infrastructure Lead to join our finance team with a dedicated focus on cloud spend and infrastructure investment strategy.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping the company's long-term cloud and infrastructure roadmap by providing deep financial insight, rigorous modeling, and strategic partnership with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business operations.
This role is ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, experience in cloud cost structures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and a passion for leveraging data to drive meaningful business outcomes.Key Responsibilities Own and drive financial modeling to evaluate cloud infrastructure costs, pricing scenarios, and ROI of investments, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
Lead strategic financial analysis for long-term cloud capacity planning and infrastructure initiatives, balancing growth, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business operations teams to inform and influence the company's cloud and infrastructure strategy through financial insights.
Support long-term strategic planning, including build vs.
buy analysis, and vendor negotiations Influence product-level decisions by analyzing margins and unit economics tied to cloud consumption and cost allocation.
Contribute to board materials, investor reporting, and leadership presentations related to infrastructure strategy and costs Qualifications 5+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or investment banking; experience in a tech/cloud-centric environment is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of cloud cost structures (AWS, Azure, GCP), pricing models, and infrastructure planning.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Tableau) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive strategic decisions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $164,700 - $215,025Zone B: $148,500 - $193,875Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones.
