Power Up Electrical Solutions is seeking an experienced Minor Works Manager to lead, develop, and grow our commercial minor works service operations across South East Queensland.
This is a full-time senior management role, responsible for guiding a high-performing team, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the department's success through strong leadership, client relationships, and strategic growth.
We deliver a wide range of commercial electrical services to high-profile clients, with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and reliability.
About the Role This role offers the right candidate leadership autonomy, stability, and long-term job security.
You'll oversee and mentor a team of over 15 including managers and skilled field staff, ensuring operational excellence from quoting through to completion across multiple high profile sites.
Key responsibilities include : Take full ownership of the Minor Works & Service Department, reporting directly to the QLD Operations Manager.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the management team, supervisors, and field staff.
Oversee and monitor all active and upcoming jobs to proactively resolve challenges.
Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Maintain and grow key client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring repeat and referral business.
Provide financial oversight – including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting – to meet company targets.
Ensure high-quality job delivery through robust quality assurance processes.
Oversee resource allocation, procurement, and scheduling for maximum efficiency.
Coordinate and lead toolbox talks, performance reviews, and ongoing training initiatives.
Plan, quote and assist with delivering state wide preventative maintenance programs About You You are an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing electrical teams, delivering complex commercial works, and running a profitable department.
You can think strategically while managing day-to-day operations, and you have the confidence to drive growth.
Strong commercial and operational leadership experience in the electrical industry.
Ability to lead and inspire multiple teams across service and minor works.
Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills.
Proven ability leading a team of over 15 staffconfident financial management and business growth experience.
High level of quality assurance focus and process discipline.
Sound understanding of WHS and environmental compliance.
Strong industry connections and the ability to identify new opportunities.
Experience with Sim PRO (highly regarded).
