About the role: The Specialist, Student Conduct and Integrity is a critical role with the Student Success Division, responsible for overseeing and guiding the student academic integrity and student conduct functions for the University.
As a subject matter expert in academic integrity and student conduct, this role provides high-level investigative and advisory services, particularly for escalated and complex cases.
The Specialist, Integrity and Conduct will interpret and apply relevant policies, navigate intricate situations and produce insightful reports to support evidence-based decision-making and ensure fair outcomes for all impacted parties.
The role will line manage two specialised Senior Adviser staff and will provide leadership to larger squads of generalist staff supporting student academic integrity and student conduct functions.&Accountabilities: Investigate complex cases of alleged student misconduct/ student breaches of academic integrity, ensuring unbiased and thorough assessment Provide expert guidance to stakeholders, including staff and students, on matters related to student academic integrity and student conduct.
Interpret and apply university policies consistently and fairly across all cases Read efforts to enhance student academic integrity and reduce student misconduct (academic and non-academic), while overseeing the detailed analysis of data and generation of reports Offer strategic insights to Senior Leadership, and coach team members to improve processes and ensure timely, effective outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have: Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience in handling student misconduct (academic and/or non-academic).
Knowledge of student academic integrity principles, student codes of conduct, legislative and regulatory frameworks, and University policies.
Experience in conducting investigations into complex and/or sensitive matters, including gender-based violence, and providing expert advisory services to support fair, evidence-based decision making.
Experience producing high-quality reports and strategic insights to senior leadership.
Demonstrated influencing and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills with ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
