About The Role The Strategic Policy and External Relations Division (SPER) works across the Department for Education to facilitate best practice strategy and policy development and coordinate a strategic approach to stakeholder engagement.
The division comprises the following directorates and business units : Strategic Policy National Reform and Social Policy External Relations Communications International Education Services The Strategic Policy Directorate drives high quality strategic policy design, implementation and evaluation across the department.
It also provides key policy and strategic services in support of the department's overarching objectives.
It is a team of respected advisers and analysts who combine perspective, direction and rigorous policy design to improve outcomes for children and young people.
The Executive and Project Officer is responsible for coordinating and providing a high-level, quality and comprehensive liaison, executive and administrative support service to the Director, Strategic Policy.
The Executive and Project Officer will also provide project and administrative support to the broader team within the Strategic Policy Directorate.
Special Conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
