As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote.
You will ensure effective communication with Radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially those working in mobile environments.
When required, you will train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Ensuring Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection techniques; may involve remote MR Technologist oversight.
Producing high-quality diagnostic images and operating multiple MR systems as needed.
Using all communication channels effectively to address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflicts.
Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists.
Training and orienting new staff both on site and remotely.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
State license, if applicable.
CPR Certification.
Valid state driver's license, if applicable.
For technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled in an accredited MRI training program for more than 6 months.
MR registered technologist (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
Ability to work at multiple locations.
Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Basic computer skills.
COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
Local travel may be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
One year of MRI experience.
Physical Requirements: Exposure to outside weather conditions when transporting patients on mobile units.
Exposure to magnetic fields, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
Physical Activities: More than 50% of the time: sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand/arm/leg movements, communicating with patients.
Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting/moving non-ambulatory patients.
