Job Description

This role involves performing MRI and CT imaging with autonomy, demonstrating professional expertise, clinical judgment, and competencies across complex modalities while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform MRI and CT imaging with autonomy, demonstrating professional expertise, clinical judgment, and competencies across complex modalities.
  2. Contribute to multidisciplinary teams, focusing on quality improvement, WHS & radiation safety initiatives, and continuous service enhancement.
  3. Deliver high-quality patient care with sensitivity to patient needs and psychology, ensuring accurate documentation, confidentiality, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  4. Engage in ongoing continuing professional development, support student education, mentor junior staff, and contribute to departmental in-service training, research, and evidence-based practice.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues across the department to enhance patient outcomes, share knowledge, and foster a supportive, learning-focused workplace.
Requirements:
  • A qualified and licensed Radiographer with a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, current AHPRA registration, and a valid NSW EPA Radiation License.
  • Significant experience in Medical Imaging, with strong knowledge and hands-on skills in CT and MRI modalities.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, inspiring and motivating colleagues while contributing to shared departmental goals.
  • Commitment to best practice, with proven ability in complex problem-solving, decision-making, and applying quality improvement, risk management, and WH&S principles.
  • High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, strong computer literacy, and active engagement in continuing professional development.
