Your new role We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Prevention & Communication division as Strategic Advisor on a full-time fixed term (until 19/12/25) basis.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Prevention & Communication, the role is responsible for providing a range of executive, project and change management, and other support services to the Executive Director.
The role is varied, challenging and is also responsible, at a program level, for IBAC's Corruption Prevention Strategy.
Duties include: Oversee and ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Office of the Executive Director Prevention & Communication, providing specialist advice on issues related to prevention and communication and ensuring the timely management of issues.
Develop responsive briefs, making recommendations and determining solutions that provide options for decision making.
Prepare high quality communications, presentations or other prevention collateral which are accessible and appropriate for a variety of internal and external audiences.
Foster and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with staff within the Prevention & Communication division, key teams across IBAC and with external stakeholders.
This includes managing competing priorities and expectations, as well as negotiating the management of risks and issues related to the priorities of the Office of the Executive Director Prevention & Communication Additional duties are set out in the position description.
Our requirements / Your skill set We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities: Well-developed understanding of contemporary best practice approaches to prevention in a corruption, crime or other regulatory setting will be highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are essential.
Experience within the public sector is mandatory, particularly providing high level specialist advice and support to executive teams on organisational issues.
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
Due to a conflict-of-interest IBAC is unable to accept applications for secondment from Victoria Police employees.
