About the opportunity
We are currently seeking 2 highly motivated, appropriately qualified and skilled Gardeners to work in a small team environment on a permanent, full-time basis, to undertake the maintenance and landscape improvement works of our public greenspace areas.
You will be assisting the crew in the servicing and maintenance of our premier passive greenspace area, to ensure a high-level, quality horticultural service is performed and the landscape finish remains safe, attractive and inviting to use to our park visitors.
Qualifications and experience

Essential:

Certificate III Horticulture or equivalent, or satisfactory completion of an indentured Apprenticeship as a Gardener
Extensive experience in maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas including annuals, exotic, native, high profile gardens, etc
Chemical Application Accreditation
Current C class driver's licence.

Desirable:

Current MR driver's licence
Traffic Controller Implementation Accreditation
First Aid Certificate.

Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

Entry level for this position starts at $1,362.15 per week
38-hour working week
Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
