Katherine West Health Board is looking for a full-time Finance Manager.
The role can be based in either Katherine or Darwin, NT.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, you'll provide support for staff in all aspects of the Katherine West Health Board's financial operations.
The Finance Manager will ensure that all financial management and reporting functions for KWHB are carried out to a high standard.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining the KWHB financial management information system Accountability for the development, implementation and monitoring of financial systems, processes and procedures Lead a team of staff to ensure processing of a high volume of creditor/debtor activities, credit card payments, bank reconciliations, travel allowances and payroll.
Ensure legislative and regulatory requirements associated with staff commencement, salaries and other financial entitlements are met Comply with FBT and STP Australian Taxation Office regulations and statutory requirements Preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis Collaborate with relevant managers to lead the preparation of budgets and monitor expenditure against those budgets Undertake end-of-year preparations and compile annual financial information and documentation for auditing.

A tertiary qualification or significant experience in Accounting and Financial Management is required, as well as experience leading a team.
The following skills and background will be highly valued: A proven understanding of accounting and financial management principles A track record of leading a finance team The ability to communicate financial information in a simple way Project and program budget management Cultural competency in Aboriginal community settings.
