About the Role We're looking for a Regional Director – Practice (Quality Engineering) to shape and expand Planit's quality‑engineering capability across the north of New Zealand.
The role is based in Auckland , New Zealand.
Partnering with the Global Practice Director and regional leaders, you'll drive technical excellence, champion innovation, uplift delivery maturity and advise clients on best‑fit solutions.
As a recognised thought leader and trusted advisor, you'll keep Planit—and our customers—ahead of the curve by introducing emerging trends, tools and ways of working.
You'll guide a high‑performing team, mentor future leaders and foster a culture of continuous improvement while steering strategic growth, governance and client success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the regional growth, maturity and innovation roadmap
• Define capability standards, career pathways and recruitment priorities People Development
• Mentor Practice & People Leads, oversee career plans and succession
• Deliver bespoke training, coaching and knowledge‑sharing initiatives Governance & Delivery
• Provide pre‑sales and delivery oversight to ensure best‑fit, realistic solutions
• Embed and uplift Planit's global governance frameworks Client Consulting
• Advise on new concepts, tooling and methodologies
• Lead strategic assessments, road‑mapping and uplift engagements Solution & IP Creation
• Design accelerators, frameworks and courseware aligned to market trends
• Collaborate on tenders, RFXs and strategic proposals Thought Leadership
• Represent Planit at conferences, SIGs and meet‑ups; publish whitepapers
