The Solutions Sales Specialist plays a critical role in driving technical sales of connectivity hardware, software, and digital solutions while fostering positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to enhance the overall customer experience.

This role is accountable for meeting key performance indicators and connectivity targets, as well as improving processes to ensure a consistent customer journey and maximise revenue opportunities for WesTrac.

Additionally, the Solutions Sales Specialist delivers targeted sales presentations to support both internal and external stakeholders, maintains up-to-date CRM records, and reports on sales pipeline information. They are also tasked with identifying and recommending enhancements for system and process efficiencies, thereby contributing to overall sales growth and the enhancement of customer experiences through innovative connectivity solutions.

Location: Perth Precinct (Perth Airport, WA)

Roster: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour days

To be successful the following is required:
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field or qualification within a technology sales position, coupled with project management certification
  • Previous experience in technical or technology sales, showcasing expertise in Fleet Management Systems, Guidance Systems, and related technologies such as telemetry, sensing technologies, and radio systems
  • Demonstrated business acumen and exceptional communication skills for fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong passion for sales and dedication to cultivating lasting customer connections
  • Proven ability to manage projects efficiently to meet organisational and customer requirements
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, adept at handling varying workloads and meeting tight deadlines
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities with a commitment to seeing tasks through to resolution
  • Proficiency in building and sustaining effective relationships across internal and external networks
  • Adherence to strict safety protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Preferably experienced in Construction, Mining, or related industries, with operational knowledge being advantageous
  • Familiarity with WesTrac/Caterpillar technology products, particularly in mining technologies, is beneficial
