Sales Specialist plays a vital role within our pre-sales team, collaborating with global and regional account teams to actively spot and assess new business opportunities, manage existing ones, and focus on network services and the wider BT Connect portfolio.
As a member of the Global Solution Specialist Sales team, they operate in an international setting, assisting both global and Australian clients. The position is based in Perth, Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and promote network services and the BT Connect portfolio within the Global Connect Specialist Team
- Expand the customer base and increase BT's market share in current accounts in coordination with the Sales Lead for each opportunity
- Evaluate and validate opportunities to maintain a robust pipeline
- Act as the client advocate, proficient in regional specifics to support sales, maintain regional relationships with key stakeholders, and offer insights to portfolio management teams
- Responsible for the commercial profitability and technical guidance for network products and BT Connect portfolio within targeted customer opportunities
- Provide expertise internally for global sales communities and externally for customers regarding network services and the broader BT Connect portfolio
- Assist vertical and European accounts and opportunities, in addition to managing accounts based in the region
- Achieve sales goals as per the agreed target and Sales Pay Plan
- Thorough understanding of connectivity technologies for both underlay (MPLS, Internet, 4G/5G) and Overlay (SD-WAN, SASE, etc.) network services
- Collaborate with partners related to the connect portfolio like Cisco, VMware, and cloud providers as part of the broader eco-system
- Capability in sales methodologies and experience in consultative selling
- Business insight and financial expertise with a deep understanding of P&L structures, drivers, and optimization methods
- Extensive knowledge of the IT & Telecom industry and awareness of competitor capabilities for both Global and Domestic Suppliers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
