Our client, one of the largest and most respected school employers in Australia who operates approximately 300 schools in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Corporate Facilities Officer to manage and oversee a portfolio of tenanted corporate properties primarily based in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs.
Role Overview:
This Senior Corporate Facilities Officer role is fundamental in supporting our client's corporate facilities to ensure the effective operations of their head office in East Melbourne, Northern/Eastern/Southern and Western regional offices and two additional corporate sites in East Melbourne. The role includes being a key point of contact service for all corporate facilities, ensuring essential services maintenance and the delivery of minor capital projects, on time and within budget and coordinating the provision of facilities management and contract management to ensure a strong focus on compliance, customer services and value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effective operations of corporate facilities, consisting of seven buildings; including the East Melbourne head office, four regional offices (Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western) and two additional corporate sites in East Melbourne. Fulfil the responsibility of Chief Fire Warden for the head office. Manage contractors and consultants to ensure compliant and timely infrastructure solutions, including cleaning, safety measures, lifts, HVAC, and security. Establish and manage building management contracts, ensuring value for money and compliance.Prepare and deliver a capital facilities plan and budget. Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder communication. Ensure key documentation is recorded in the approved Information Management System and shared for compliance purposes. Continuously improve processes and maintain infrastructure compliance. Remain on call 24/7 and respond as required. Travel between various corporate sites as needed.Key Selection Criteria: Successful experience in facilities management, infrastructure management, project management, or strategic asset management with a strong customer focus. Extensive experience in facilities management across multiple sites.Experience in preparing and managing maintenance and facilities contracts. Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including report preparation, tender documents, and internal and external stakeholder communication. High-level knowledge of relevant software packages, especially within Microsoft Office. Contract negotiation and management experience. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in facilities management or a related field. Proficiency in facilities management software solutions (e.g. BMS, HVAC). Chief Fire Warden qualification or willingness to obtain one.Full, current Victorian Driver's License and motor vehicle. Current Victorian Working with Children Check or eligibility to obtain one. Clear National Criminal History Check. Construction Induction (Red/White) card or willingness to obtain one.
