The Microsoft Azure App Innovation Technology Presales Specialist plays a pivotal role in the ecosystem, focusing on helping customers envision, design, and adopt innovative application solutions on the Azure platform. This role demands a deep understanding of both business and technical aspects to drive digital transformation and deliver impactful technology outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Guide customers in adopting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), serverless computing, and other Azure-native tools to build new cloud-native applications or modernise existing ones. Leverage Azure's comprehensive suite of services to enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Consultative Selling: Leverage a strong consulting background to bridge the gap between technical potential and business value, demonstrating the transformative power of modern application development.
  • Proof of Concept Development: Develop and deliver proof of concept (PoC) projects that demonstrate the value of Azure solutions, and guide customers through the transition from PoC to full-scale production deployment, ensuring seamless implementation and integration.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions, conduct workshops, and develop strategic roadmaps that integrate Azure's advanced technologies into existing frameworks, ensuring seamless adoption and integration.
  • DevOps Integration: Implement Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to automate and optimise the development lifecycle, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Act as a mentor and thought leader, sharing insights and best practices with internal teams and customers to build technical capacity and drive innovation.

Qualifications

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience with cloud native technologies, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
