Director of Generative AI

The Director of Generative AI is a pivotal leadership role responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of cutting-edge Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) capabilities within the organisation. This individual will play a crucial role in building and leading a high-performing team, establishing robust validation practices, and showcasing the transformative potential of Generative AI to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Responsibilities:
1. Team Building:

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a diverse and talented team of Gen AI experts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

2. Implement State-of-the-Art Practices:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in Generative AI research, tools, and techniques.
  • Implement state-of-the-art methodologies for model training, evaluation, and deployment, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

3. Embedding and Presenting to Clients:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed Generative AI solutions into existing products, services, and workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Generative AI capabilities, presenting to clients and internal stakeholders to showcase the value proposition and potential applications.

4. Leading Gen AI Expertise:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and thought leader for Generative AI expertise within the organisation.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on NLP, Deep-Learning, chatbots and Generative AI.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in an AI research or development environment.
  • Deep expertise in Generative AI methodologies, including GANs, VAEs, and Transformers.
  • Strong understanding of validation practices, model interpretability, and ethical considerations in AI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and deliver impactful results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
