Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a newly created opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Accountant or Accountant to join a leading ASX listed organisation with a reputable brand name. Description

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by reconciling entries
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor cash flow and manage bank accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and depreciation schedule
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of BAS/FBT/GST

Profile

  • Relevant Tertiary education
  • Working towards CA/CPA
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accountant
  • Exposure to retail industry (ideally Business to Consumer)
