Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Colliers. As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will be responsible for producing accurate and timely accounting information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
  • Collaborate with the team and wider business to perform Accounts Receivable core functions, including cash allocations and clearance of unmatched/unallocated receipts.
  • Prepare month-end journals for cost and revenue accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage the revenue reporting process and revenue recognition compliance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reports, providing insights into our financial performance.
  • Understand and apply GST and FBT implications of accounting transactions, ensuring correct expense coding and tax compliance.
  • Partner with the Corporate Finance team on audit/ad-hoc queries, providing expert accounting advice.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Working towards or completed CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills are required, with experience in SUN systems being beneficial.
