12 month engagement + extensionsCandidates must be in CanberraCandidate must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearanceCandidate must be an Australian citizen The role We are looking for an Operations Officer, who will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager (EL1) with planning, preparing, managing, and optimising operations. This may include: operational risk management, contingency planning, reviewing and developing incident response plans and processes, developing, analysing and reporting operations metrics, planning for and coordinating operational readiness assurance activities including quality gates, managing business acceptance testing, crisis scenario planning and exercises, training staff to ensure operational readiness, workload forecasting and planning for live operations, and supporting incident response during live operations. To be suitable you should have most or all of the following skills, qualities and experience:
  1. Previous experience in operational readiness management, project risk management and contingency planning.
  2. Ability to use data and analytics to plan and report key operational metrics.
  3. Experience in coordinating and running project testing cycles before 'go live' events, including quality and operational gate preparation.
  4. Previous experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.
  5. Experience in defining, contributing, and implementing key operational processes such as incident response plans, crisis management processes.
