APS6 and EL1 Project Officer

Randstad is currently assisting a large Federal Government Department and recruiting for an APS6 and EL1 Project Officer for a 12 months opportunity with a possibility of 12 months extension. You will be responsible in providing advice based upon the role of data in supporting and informing departmental activities.
In your new role you will be responsible for -
Developing and costing a long-term plan to meet the objectivesObtaining clearance and endorsement for the new strategy by senior leadersStrategy release and promotionAs an APS6 Project Support Officer, your key duties are
Assisting the Project Manager in planning and organising Data Strategy development activities, contract management, stakeholder management, procurement and assurancePlanning meetings and stakeholder workshopsPreparing agendas, writing minutes, supporting the chair at meetingsCoordinating document reviews and approvalsProviding input to reporting and briefing processesManaging project information in the records management systemsAs EL1 Project Manager, your key duties are:
Planning and organising Data Strategy development activitiesStakeholder managementContract managementProject assurance, managing risks and issuesOrganising internal and inter-agency meetings and consultations.Procuring resources as requiredPreparing briefings, reports and other material for internal and external audiences, including senior leaders, and reviewing documents written by othersPromoting a positive team culture.
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate your:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally working on Commonwealth projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong stakeholder relationship building and management skillsUnderstanding of the role of data in supporting and informing departmental activities.Intrested
