Role Overview:

The Melbourne Corporate Actions team oversees the complete processing of intricate corporate actions in the APAC region for global clients. Collaborating closely with international counterparts, the team ensures that external clients have the necessary information to make informed decisions promptly.

As the Senior Analyst, you will be knowledgeable about voluntary events such as capital raisings, tender offers, and dividend reinvestment plans from end to end.

This position will directly report to the Manager, Corporate Actions, based in our Melbourne office and is available in both Melbourne and Sydney locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and validating new voluntary corporate actions and preparing announcements for clients
  • Reviewing balance reports and liaising with clients and managers to secure election decisions for domestic and international corporate actions
  • Instructing Sub-Custodians and/or fund manager agents based on decisions, keeping clients informed throughout the process
  • Independently processing corporate events, reconciling entitlements, and managing client queries
  • Ensuring timely deliverables, preparing checklists daily, and identifying and resolving issues within set guidelines

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Corporate Actions procedures domestically and within the APAC region
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to innovate utilizing technology
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in a similar role
