You've had a few years of high-volume payroll experience and know you're a payroll officer at heart. Applying accuracy and attention to detail to each pay run is your forte.

You're a resourceful problem solver, an inclusive team player and subject matter expert.

About the role:

Reporting to the Remuneration & Benefits Manager, you'll be joining a global OEM in a national payroll team of four specialists.

This highly dedicated and capable team are responsible for multiple weekly and monthly pay runs, and support Komatsu Underground's three workshop facilities, a distribution centre and two corporate offices.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass timely payroll processing, meticulous documentation, and precise auditing and reporting.

As we prepare to roll out a new payroll software, your support and agility will be invaluable in tackling this momentous task.

In addition, you'll gain insights into our remuneration and benefits strategies as we continuously evaluate how to best compensate employees across diverse roles, including sales, engineering, workshops, and corporate services.

Requirements for success:
  • Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications
  • 3-5 years payroll experience, ideally
  • Experience with computerised payroll and time and attendance systems (we use SAP, Preceda & Kronos – but any similar systems will do)
  • Knowledge of industrial awards and their application
  • Understanding of superannuation and taxation legislation
