Lead Piping Engineer

We are currently looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to join a Global Oil & Gas EPC in a permanent role, starting immediately to work on a major Brownfield project.



Working closely with the Discipline Manager - Mechanical Piping (APAC West), you will play a key role in the Piping team by providing leadership and technical expertise to foster a motivated environment and meet client expectations. As the main figure in this prominent position, you will be backing a seasoned team dedicated to project delivery, aligned with global energy transition and security.



Responsibilities:

  • Being the central figure for Piping Engineering tasks throughout the project's lifecycle to deliver suitable solutions.
  • Generating cost-effective Piping Engineering reports, documents, and deliverables.
  • Guiding and supporting Piping Engineers and Designers while offering technical guidance as needed.
  • Providing technical insights for business development, customer engagement, tenders, and studies.
  • Serving as a Technical Authority to ensure the technical integrity of project activities.
  • Ensuring all assigned work complies with the agreed budget and schedule.


Qualifications:



Ideally, you should be an Australian citizen or eligible for Permanent Residency (PR) to work in Australia legally. National or international relocation support is available to assist your application. You should hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and have experience in a similar Principal/Lead Piping Engineering role in the Oil & Gas brownfields sector. Additionally, you should have:

  • Demonstrated leadership with diverse engineering teams, capable of motivating and coaching talent for high performance.
  • A broad understanding of energy sector clients' business drivers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Australian and International codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Pipe Stress Analysis and interpretation of report outputs.
