Quality Control Manager

An opportunity for a Junior Quality Control Manager to work on a new construction project in the Northern Territory. The role offers the exciting prospect of working for a reputable government client, on a high-profile and visible project and play a management role that is key to the project's success. Relocation costs are provided for interstate candidates, and once the project is completed there will be ongoing opportunities on new projects in the NT.
Purpose of this position:
To own, manage and drive the implementation of the Contractor Quality Control Program, ensuring the works delivered meets all quality requirements of the Contract and Specifications.
To implement the procedures as outlined in the contractor Quality Control Plan, by reviewing, approving and submitting project documentation produced by various project stakeholders.
Suitable candidates for this role will need to possess the following skills:
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.They will be required to be resilient with the ability to work alone and they will be required to be adaptable and flexible.Posses great team working abilities, and leadership skills.Experience with Protech and Hammertech. Key accountabilities include: Compile daily Quality Control reportsPerform Quality Control submittalsManage and update the Submittal Register and the rework logInterpret and have sound understanding of the client SpecificationsImplement the Project QC ProgramManage and coordinate three phases of control for all definable features ofworkLead by example.Demonstrate ownership and accountability for the overall quality of documents and works onsiteDemonstrate great interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrate great understanding of their key role in the project team structure
and ability to manage multiple requests by prioritising workload adequately Qualifications and Experience: Graduate of college or university program in one of the following disciplines:
Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology
Building Construction, or Building Science (accredited by Australia).7 + years experience as as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager,
Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager.5+ years experience working on-site on large-scale construction projects within
