We're REA

REA Group ) is not your average digital business. From humble beginnings in a garage in Melbourne's east in 1995, we have grown into a leading global digital business, specialising in property.

With bold and ambitious goals, we are changing the way the world experiences property. No matter where you're at on your property journey, we're here to help with every step - whether that's finding or financing your next home.

Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. Where the team fits in

This is a 12-month fixed term contract joining REA Group's Ignite team. Ignite is our strategic customer platform going forward and is five years old. The platform is positioned to be the tool of choice for all customers that utilize REA to support their business.

Within the Ignite Tribe we operate under a federated model supporting all our lines of business (LOB) to enable and deliver upon our key customer strategy. Ignite is available to our customers across both web and app which is underpinned by a backend that integrates with many core systems across our business. Given the cross LOB nature of our delivery we get to work, learn, share challenges and celebrate success alongside many people and teams across all parts of the organisation.

Ignite has reached maturity as a platform, but we still operate with a start-up mindset, testing, learning and gather feedback to guide our direction. Ignite is at an important stage in its evolution. We are in the process of improving the way our federating teams use our platform by reimagining the existing architecture. Applying for this role is both an exciting opportunity to grow and help evolve Ignite both architecturally and as a team

  • Working in a wider agile team with other developers, business analysts, quality analysts, product managers & product designers where we value iterative experimentation and data driven decisions.
