We're supporting a reputable and vital community based Federal Government Agency with multiple Access Officer roles.

What's involved?

This position is an administratively based, entry level APS3 role.
Reviewing, processing and assessing documentation and ensuring all information is available for an access decision in accordance with policy and legislationMaking appropriate access decisions in accordance with delegated authorityResponding to phone and email enquiries about access and eligibility, providing accurate information and effective support to internal and external stakeholdersMaintaining records and undertaking a range of data entry responsibilities in accordance with Agency standards and policiesManaging incoming and outgoing correspondenceScanning and filing documents according to Agency standards and policiesInforming prospective participants of their application progress as well as their rights and obligations What are we looking for? Excellent communication and customer service skillsAdministrative experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability (experience working with people with disability or lived experience of disability highly desirable) Ability to be adaptable in an ever changing environmentGreat communication both verbal and writtenAbility to pick up new systems quickly Other details:
This role is based in Charlestown (Hybrid working)$36.27 p/h + super
6 month & 12 month contracts available (decided by the client)37.5 hours per week, capped at a maximum of 230 working days in a financial yearYou must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this role A police check/NDIS Worker Screening Check will be required if successfulWhat's next:
