Senior Planning Officer - Services Planning Education (Organisation site ) New Schools Planning, Services and Infrastructure Planning Branch - Infrastructure Services Division Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) provides quality infrastructure services to the department.

The Services Planning team works closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and facilitate new schooling solutions over the short, medium and longer term within Queensland.

The team facilitates new school projects within the planning phase to make sure we plan well for all of Queensland's communities.

The Opportunity:
As a member of the Services Planning team you will: Support the prioritisation of infrastructure projects to support population growth including the expansion of existing schools and new schools Work within a dedicated project team to facilitate the core deliverables required in the planning phase of a major infrastructure project Prepare correspondence, reports, and briefings for senior internal and external stakeholders and governance bodies Undertake detailed analysis of school and population growth trends and communicate outcomes from this analysis Contribute to the development of business cases to support major infrastructure investments over the short, medium and long term

Achieving Success:

To be successful as a Senior Planning Officer, you will possess: A good understanding of town planning and/or infrastructure planning concepts and/or project management strategies and the ability to apply this knowledge to support team objectives.

Demonstrated ability to work well in a high performing team and establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information to a range of different stakeholders as required.
Ability to manage competing priorities and objectives within tight timeframes.
