Join an organisation with a rich history, we are currently seeking an experienced Manager that is a logical and strategic thinker with extensive people and business management experience.

In this role you will be responsible for the running of the Industries and Education for the correctional centre while providing oversight and guidance to staff and inmates.

As part of this role, you will need to maintain strong relationships between senior managers across Department of Communities & Justice and external stakeholders.


The role requires:

  • Supervision and management of staff and inmates
  • Strong time management and computer skills
  • Experience working in a highpressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes
  • Experience in leadership and mentoring, business development and marketing strategies in accordance with CSI Business planning. Experience in managing budgets of the work area and taking responsibility to ensure that resources are effectively allocated while meeting the operational objectives.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in the following: Management, Building/Construction, Agriculture, Cookery or related industries.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of Business Management Systems (eg Pronto, SAP, QMS)
  • Ability to meet the Key Accountabilities and Focus Capabilities detailed in the Role Description
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety.

It serves a key function of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.
