About the role
Based across the Smithfield & Warwick Farm sites, you will be responsible for the reliability and performance of the Visy Board assets in NSW.
Leading the NSW Maintenance Team, your primary role is to minimise downtime, reduce operational risks, and enhance the overall performance and longevity of equipment, whilst keeping safety at the forefront.
Duties- Identify potential risks that could lead to failures, breakdowns, or safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure continuity of operations.
- Maintenance strategy development design and implement maintenance strategies that include preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance approaches, which are aimed at reducing unplanned downtime and maximizing asset reliability.
- Responsible for project management and breakdown reviews and analysis, looking to continuously improve equipment reliability.
- Responsible for managing budgets related to maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and reliability improvement projects.
- Provide training programs and support to maintenance
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of reliability improvement efforts.
- Safety monitoring and Work Permit compliance
- Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees and contractors
- Capital project business case development & execution in full and on time.
What you will bring to the team:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline.
- 10 years' experience within a fast paced / just in time manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies
- MEX/IMS (or related Maintenance Management software) experience
- Experienced P&L Management
- A strategic and analytical mindset who possesses great problemsolving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and team management
- Experience developing employee training programs
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational
- Able to work flexible hours to meet requirements
