Your contribution
- Develop and deliver project plans that will promote industry and regional development, including research and reporting on progress
- Collaborate with and mentor other team members, leveraging strengths within the team to deliver on activity plans and projects that will drive economic growth
- Represent the department's interests at meetings, committees and industry events as required, including building, and maintaining purposeful relationships with a portfolio of clients to support industry sector growth consistent with Queensland Government objectives
- Support regional leadership and capacity building to deliver on economic priorities of regional communities including the Local Economic Opportunities Network
- Promote and deliver departmental programs such as targeted industry programs or the Regional Economic Future Fund
- Leverage networks and strong data and analytic capability that will facilitate industry initiatives and supply chain development
- Facilitating and assisting industry with their interaction with other agencies and levels of government
- Provide accurate and timely reports, briefings, submissions and other documentation that may be required
- Monitor and provide feedback to management on new and emerging regional economic development opportunities and issues
- Analyse trends and develop proposals to support program and policy development relevant to regional services
- Demonstrate commitment to the Department's corporate values of customers first, empower people, unleash potential, be courageous, ideas into action and collaborate
- Perform other tasks as required by the Regional Director, Manager and team members.
