About the role:


The Accounts Receivable unit incorporates the entire order to cash cycle, from the creation of invoices for services, through to the processing of customer receipts and debtor management.


The service includes:

  • Banking of money including fees, Seized and Unclaimed
  • Processing of receipts
  • Daily Reconciliations
  • Refund / returns of Seized, Unclaimed & Other Monies
  • Processing and distribution of invoices for user pays events, other Police services, donations/grants, recoups etc.
  • Statement generation and distribution
  • Debtor management
  • Administration, advice and assistance in relation to Accounts Receivable activities
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Receipting of monies received in Head Office
  • Receipting and reconciling bank statement with remittances, receipting daily.
  • Entering details in Access Databases
  • Assisting with refunds and transfers
  • Providing daily cash flow information based on remittances received.
  • Invoicing

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in receipting, banking and reconciling.
  • Experience in processing refunds/transfers
  • Experience in Oracle Financials
  • Accounts Receivable and Access databases
  • Accurate data entry, excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, a proactive and flexible team player
  • An understanding of the customer service requirements of the position and a demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
  • A proven record of ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics and Conduct, Financial Code of Practice, and the Organisational Values

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Your usual place of work will be within the Accounts Receivable Unit, but you may be required to work in other units within the Financial Services Department
  • Victoria Police Centre at 311 Spencer Street, Docklands
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
