Position:
Education Counsellor - Assisting International Students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized counselling services to international students, helping them choose suitable courses and educational institutions based on their goals and preferences.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of students' educational backgrounds, career aspirations, and language proficiency to determine appropriate study pathways.
  • Stay up to date with changes in immigration policies, education trends, and admission requirements of various institutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with educational institutions, ensuring accurate and uptodate knowledge of courses, scholarships, and entry criteria.
  • Assist students with documentation preparation, including admission essays, resumes, and recommendation letters.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to students throughout their academic journey, addressing any concerns or challenges they may encounter.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in education counselling or a related field, preferably within the immigration industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of the Australian immigration system, including student visa requirements and processes.
  • Familiarity with the education landscape and institutions in Australia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple student cases effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Tertiary qualifications in education, counselling, or a related field are preferred.
