Role Summary

The Senior Enrollment Advisor is responsible for attracting students to the university and providing guidance to prospective students and their families throughout the admissions journey. This role involves spearheading recruitment initiatives within a specified region.

  • Acts as a representative of the university and its offerings to enhance community engagement at recruitment activities, including visits to high schools and community colleges, participation in college fairs, and hosting information sessions.
  • Contributes to the formulation of strategies aimed at sustaining and broadening prospective student recruitment through lead generation, guidance for prospects, and support during the enrollment process. Conducts research on prospective student backgrounds, follows up on leads, and maintains comprehensive records for the assigned recruitment area.
  • Identifies significant opportunities within the target region and builds strong relationships with school counselors, community organizations, local businesses, and alumni to foster partnerships.
  • Provides counseling to prospective undergraduate and graduate students and their families regarding academic offerings, extracurricular activities, admissions criteria, and application processes.
  • Evaluates admissions applications and participates in the review process. Leads a small team or project focused on developing strategic outreach initiatives that include visits, presentations, and various communication methods to assist in student recruitment and support families in navigating admissions challenges.
  • Guides prospective students by assessing their completed college credits, including dual enrollment, and informing them about financial aid options such as grants, scholarships, and loans.
  • Oversees special initiatives aimed at enhancing student outreach efforts in the designated territory, including forming partnerships and developing tailored recruitment strategies to meet team objectives.
  • Maintains a database of contacts among educators and school officials to facilitate ongoing engagement and strategies that support students throughout the enrollment process.
  • Performs additional job-related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in student counseling, business administration, education, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
