Role Summary

The Senior Enrollment Advisor is responsible for attracting students to the university and providing guidance to prospective students and their families throughout the admissions journey. This role spearheads recruitment initiatives within a specified region.

  • Acts as a representative of the university and its offerings to enhance community engagement at recruitment functions, including visits to high schools and community colleges, participation in college fairs, and hosting information sessions and presentations.
  • Contributes to the formulation of strategies aimed at sustaining and broadening prospective student recruitment through lead generation, guidance for prospects, and support during the matriculation process. Conducts research on prospective student backgrounds, follows up on leads, and maintains comprehensive records for the assigned recruitment area.
  • Identifies critical areas within the target region and fosters relationships with school counselors, community organizations, local businesses, and alumni to build a supportive network.
  • Provides counseling to prospective undergraduate and graduate students and their families regarding academic offerings, extracurricular activities, admissions criteria, and application procedures.
  • Evaluates admissions applications and assists in the review process. Leads a small team or project focused on developing strategic outreach initiatives, including visits, presentations, and communications to assist in student recruitment and address any challenges faced by students and their families.
  • Guides prospective students by assessing their completed college credits, including dual enrollment credits, and informing them about financial aid options such as grants, scholarships, and loans.
  • Oversees special initiatives aimed at enhancing student outreach efforts in the designated area, while developing individual and team recruitment strategies to meet established objectives.
  • Maintains a database of contacts including educators and school officials to facilitate ongoing engagement and support for students navigating the enrollment process.
  • Performs additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in student counseling, business administration, education, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
