About the Role


We are seeking a casual Policy Brief Writer to translate a range of research outputs into accessible publications for non-academic audiences.

The Policy Brief Writer will report to the

Centre Director:

Centre for Research in Educational and Social Inclusion (CRESI) and will act as the policy development expert, creating accessible content to inform educational policy.

We conduct interdisciplinary research to generate knowledge of systemic forms of exclusion? policy analysis and critique focusing on policies' effects? theory building to understand complex phenomena? and case studies of hopeful sites of educational and social inclusion.

Our research contributes to greater education equity to enhance social cohesion and wellbeing.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience writing briefings and content for a wide range of audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesising and summarising information from a wide range of sources
  • Ability to interpret research publications
  • Highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines
