We are seeking a
Specialist Risk and Capital to join the West Angelas Operational Excellence team on a 5/2/4/3 roster, to manage and coordinate the operational Risk and Capital portfolios across our mine site.


You'll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team.

You'll work roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the
Operational Excellence Manager, and working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you will be:

  • Supporting the Management team through business planning cycles (including the annual plan), providing analytical support and insight on risk, capital and productivity across the operations
  • Driving the capital and risk process and assist in removing roadblocks to execution
  • Engaging with leaders and partners to integrate risk into operational decisionmaking and core business processes including investment in projects, planning and assurance activities
  • Encouraging proactive management of risks through monitoring risk owner performance, status of material risks, control effectiveness, action management and facilitating risk reviews
  • Developing, governing and coordinating the divisional annual and 5year Capital Portfolio
  • Effectively prioritising capital and completing accurate forecasting
  • Developing the risk and capital acumen of site leaders and champions
  • Working closely with various capital stakeholders, providing guidance, reporting on status and coordinating the governance of the capital portfolio
  • Champion and govern the Management of Change (MOC) process providing coaching and support as required

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and the team
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field will be highly regarded
  • Experience in project leadership, capital, process improvements or similar
  • Highly effective organisational, time management, problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to communicate new ideas and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • A high level of computer literacy including developing, automating, and managing spreadsheets, reports, and the ability to learn new software
  • Current C Class driver's license (manual)
