Purpose of the Role:

The Portfolio Management Unit (PMU) is seeking a candidate to lead the strategy for the hold-to-maturity loan portfolio for Global Corporate & Investment Banking for APAC (GCIB APAC). Responsibilities include defining detailed sector/country asset allocations, monitoring portfolio profitability, developing and tracking KPIs, and providing recommendations to senior management regularly. The role involves working closely with regional teams, overseeing portfolio execution, and supervising supporting staff.

This role allows for flexibility in work location, with opportunities available in Singapore, Melbourne, or Sydney.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategy for the hold-to-maturity loan portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define sector/country allocations.
  • Provide regular recommendations to senior management for portfolio enhancement.
  • Monitor portfolio profitability and report to senior management regularly.
  • Track country progress against budget through KPIs.
  • Identify and reallocate underutilized resources.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to plan capital allocation.
  • Lead communication efforts for portfolio execution.
  • Supervise direct reporting staff and offer guidance.
  • Manage team resources and enhance processes.
  • Provide development opportunities for staff.
  • Maintain and improve tools and data for capital allocation.
  • Demonstrate leadership in interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in financial products and credit portfolio management.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic planning and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in team management and leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education.
