We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Facilities Project Coordinator within our Maritime Sustainmentbased in Osborne, South Australia.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for undertaking a wide variety of tasks for Shipyard Maintenance projects aimed at providing Preventative Maintenance and Reactive maintenance thru Facilities Helpdesk within the shipyard Precinct.

The role will initially focus on the financial status of the department, maintaining and developing reporting deliverables to the team and other stakeholders and support with the SCAM and delegate as a CAM when required.

The Project Coordinator will also monitor the Facilities Helpdesk and use MEX Ops to provide the supporting information to the maintenance team for repair.

The Project Coordinator will also provide visibility to the team of all reporting systems that require auctioning by the Facilities Team.

As the role matures, the Project Coordinator will assist the Maintenance team in managing maintenance costs and schedule across the shipyard.

Your new role:

As a member of the Infrastructure & Shipyard Services functional team, the Project Co ordinators's role is to:

  • Ensure that the Site Maintenance Manager has visibility of the current and future spend for the department.
  • Report on the status against the forecast budget and assist with any adjustments or justifications to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure that there is transparency between all stakeholders, including monthly reportback.
  • Assist with SCAM monthly presentations and reviews as required.
  • Create and maintain dashboards of all reporting systems that require actioning from the Maintenance Team, including MEX and Facilities Helpdesk issues and other systems that are introduced as the project matures.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance Team as required.

About you:

As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in defence or related industry;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Welldeveloped selfmanagement skills and demonstrated ability to work under his/her own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost;
  • Financial awareness of EVM and Cost Accounting ( CAM )
  • Ability to be Trained in MEX Asset Management Software
