The Role

We are seeking a creative and dedicated Social Media Assistant to join our London team at the UK head office. Reporting to the Director of Content and collaborating with the Senior Social Media Manager, this full-time role is part of the marketing team.

As a Social Media and Content Assistant, you will support the Senior Social Media Manager in writing, creating, editing, scheduling, and monitoring social media posts, as well as managing communities across various platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.

We expect you to stay current with digital trends and social media technologies, communicate effectively, and creatively represent our company's viewpoints.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating social media content and researching engaging hotel and destination stories
  • Schedule content using Sprout Social
  • Monitor and respond to incoming messages on all social media channels
  • Share social media coverage with stakeholders and compile hotel reports
  • Create engaging TikToks while maintaining brand consistency
  • Suggest and implement strategies for enhancing brand awareness through promotions and competitions
  • Help coordinate individual influencer stays and maintain global influencer databases
  • Participate in meetings with travel and lifestyle influencers
  • Stay updated on social media trends and developments
  • Assist in organizing press and photography trip itineraries and schedules
  • Contribute to research projects to support new campaign ideas and media partnerships

Essential Skills and Requirements
  • Proficiency in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other social media platforms
  • Strong visual and photography acumen
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom
  • Understanding of social media trends and practices
  • Excellent copywriting and editing abilities
  • Capability to produce creative content (text, images, videos)
  • Passion for travel and hospitality
  • Knowledge of social media KPIs and influencer industry
  • Effective interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
