KSC1 Extensive experience and ability in managing, coordinating and delivering excellence in executive and business support, which significantly contributes to the effective achievement of the school's strategic plan.


KSC2 Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively at all levels of the organisation, internally and externally.

KSC3 Demonstrated high level experience in financial management and DET financial processes and procedures


KSC4 Demonstrated understanding of human resources management practices including knowledge of agreement implementation and personnel matters relating to the range of staff employed within the school.

KSC5 Demonstrated high levels of professional integrity, sensitivity and an ability to engage with a diverse school community.

Role:


An education support class position at level 2 will have a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to support the educational services being provided to students.

In exercising the responsibility an education support class position at level 2 will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff relating to their area of designated responsibility within the framework of the school's strategic plan, policies and budget but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.


Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.


An education support class position at level 2 will contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision making.


Responsibilities:

As a member of the leadership team with responsibility including the leadership and management of:

  • recruitment policy and procedures including, human resource planning, strategy, and guidelines. Provision of expert advice regarding workforce planning for all school operations and services.
- the college budget and financial performance, including leading accounting processes to ensure all funds are effectively accounted for according to Treasury regulations.
- development and delivery of ES professional development programs within the college.
- delivery and quality of professional student support services across the college.
- quality assurance in education support services across the college.

  • Provide expert advice, including drafting reports and making recommendations on operational issues to School Council
