About the Job:

Join our team in Bendigo, VIC, as a Therapeutic Practitioner within our Therapeutic Residential Care program. You will be responsible for developing therapeutic strategies to help children and young individuals grow, heal, and recover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the care team to create and implement therapeutic plans for each child or young person.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in implementing these plans effectively.
  • Strengthen the relationship between the child/young person and their family and community.

Key Selection Criteria:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A solid understanding of Aboriginal culture and the challenges faced by Aboriginal children and families.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience in working with young people who have experienced trauma and complex needs.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic approaches and techniques to support the development and well-being of children.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive care to young individuals from diverse backgrounds.
