The new Bendigo Law Courts building was officially opened in February 2023.
The modern, five level building features 11 courtrooms, digital technology and newly established Specialist Family Violence Court and Koori Court.
The Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) is now expanding to Bendigo. ARC is a solution-focused court underpinned by principles of therapeutic jurisprudence and recoveryoriented mental health practice.ARC focuses on understanding and responding to underlying factors contributing to offending behaviour for people experiencing mental ill-health and/or cognitive impairment.
About the roleReporting to and supporting the Court Coordinator, the Listings Registrar and ARC Coordinator performs a dual function of supporting the listing and registry functions across all jurisdictions and more specifically the coordination of the ARC list, including in-court duties.
The Listings Registrar and ARC Coordinator operates in a complex, demanding and sensitive environment, and the role requires the ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion while liaising effectively with the Judiciary, court users and more specifically members of the ARC multidisciplinary team, and ARC participants.
The role requires regular interaction with accused persons who are experiencing a serious mental illness and/or cognitive impairment.About you
