Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as a
Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator.
As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this key role, you will utilise your comprehensive mechanical knowledge to coordinate maintenance activities and improvement initiatives for our Springhill Cranes Maintenance department, as well as leading a small team of 4 tradespeople.
If you are a highly skilled tradesperson with aspirations to move off the tools, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
What Will You Do?
As the mechanical maintenance coordinator, you will:
- supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
- coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
- participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
- respond to the day-to-day Mechanical availability and reliability issues
