About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Metal Coating Lines team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our equipment to meet our objectives for safety, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on our Metal Coating Lines equipment
- Inspect and fault-find quality critical equipment
- Resolve issues and fix non-conformances
- Continuously improve our maintenance strategies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment. You will also have:
- Mechanical trade qualifications
- A commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
- Ability to fault-find mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and their interaction with process line automation
- Experience working both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
