As the technical lead for the Group Procurement, you will partner with the business to deliver on their digital and data strategy, while also acting as the people leader for the aligned technology engineers.

The Business Services team supports our Corporate Real Estate, Group Procurement and Business Resilience businesses at Macquarie.

This role will see you working with Group Procurement to deliver innovative technology solutions that will enable our customers to deliver value for our business as you partner with the business to deliver on their digital and data strategy, while also acting as the people leader for the aligned technology engineers.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated Tech Lead to work closely with the business in the implementation of key projects which involves integrations with multiple systems and data sources.

Ideally you would have 8+ years of experience, people leadership skills and a strong background in computer science/Software Engineering.

we expect you are a self-starter and up-to-speed with the latest developments in the tech world, who will conscientiously manage the end-to-end life cycle of your solutions.


In this role, you will:

- lead a team to deliver high quality software that is thoroughly tested and optimised
- build solutions and integrations from requirements
- lead the ongoing evolution of our platform design and architecture
- engage with all levels of our stakeholders

We anticipate to be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and attributes:

  • strong stakeholder management
- technical team leadership
- front-end technologies such as React and/or Angular

  • Java
  • Postgres (or other SQL)
  • Cloud experience (AWS)

Its an added bonus if you have experience in:

  • CI-CD experience (Bamboo, Gradle, git/bitbucket, Artifactory, uDeploy)
  • Atlassian suite e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
- container and serverless technologies (Docker, AWS Lambda)
- financial services experience.
