About the role


Reporting to the Head of People & Culture - Supply, this role partners with people leaders and the People & Culture business partnering team to inform and support the People strategy.

This position provides strategic and operational IR and ER support to the business. It will also contribute to the delivery of core people programmes across the central Supply team and global people initiatives

Note:
This role can be based in Adelaide, Barossa or Melbourne.

  • Provide consistent advice and interpretation of industrial instruments to meet compliance obligations and expectations of external agencies across Australia
  • Support and assist leaders in the management of complex employee relations matters through to successful resolution whilst making recommendations and mitigating risk to the business
  • Proactively identify people issues and opportunities for organisational change to drive high performance
  • Design and guide the people and organisational change elements of business transformation in line with all legislative requirements (including under EAs and Awards)
  • Provide expert advice on industrial relations matters, including matters that reach the Fair Work Commission (FWC), while supporting and guiding other P&C team members as needed
  • Provide general People and Culture business partner support as needed

About you


You are a well-rounded HR professional able to work independently, while still contributing to a positive team culture with a solution-focused mindset and outcome-focused mentality.

Use to manage multiple stakeholder inputs and balance tactical and strategical approaches.

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Employment Law and/or Industrial Relations
  • Experience in complex case management and in managing employee relations and industrial relations matters through to successful resolution
  • Significant understanding and experience across a range of industry bodies, employment legislation, industrial frameworks, and awards within a unionised environment
  • Demonstrated involvement in planning and negotiating Enterprise Agreements
  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines is desirable but not essential, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/work streams and deliver timely/quality results
