    Six Degrees are partnering exclusively with Allied Pinnacle in recruiting the critical Site Manager role for their Altona operations.


An exciting opportunity to take on full site responsibility for 300+ people across all key functions at a site level.

Lead the operations team onsite driving improvement activities and initiatives cross functionally onsite. Play a lead role in driving best practice from a CI and operations perspective onsite.

Be the key stakeholder in continuing to drive the culture forward for the site and invest in its people by playing a supporting role with regards to upskilling, coaching and training.

***As the Site Manager you have the ability to think strategically and make smart business decisions while also leading the day to day operations of the site. You are an enabler of growth and cost efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial & Business Development

  • Accountable for financial performance of manufacturing operation to plan. Establish a disciplined process of cost minimisation. Effectively managing working capital.
  • Recommend capital expenditure in line with business strategy to maximise return on investment; ensuring approved projects are implemented ontime and onbudget.
  • Support merger & acquisition projects, identifying opportunities to optimise manufacturing footprint and mix across sites.

Manufacturing Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and direct the manufacturing function at the Altona North plant, establishing operational excellence in manufacturing quality, cost, efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure process and products are in compliance with customer, food quality and cost objectives/regulations.
  • Improve and develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, metrics and performance targets.
  • Continue to drive a Continuous Improvement culture onsite. Benchmark performance against key manufacturing performance metrics. Review existing production technology, systems and processes and identify opportunities to optimise manufacturing operations across the facility.

Quality:

  • Drive a culture of Quality across the site. Ensure manufacturing processes and practices comply with all food safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards. Accountable for implementing corrective action and continuous improvement against audit results.

Safety:

  • Promotes a safe working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors; ensuring compliance with all environmental and work health & safety requirements.

People Management:

  • Add capability to the senior management team influencing and providing direction across operations and manufacturing.
  • Develop, lead, and manage a highperforming manufacturing team. Ensure individual accountability, competencies and performance are aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead in a proactive way to achieve optimal results across the site with the ability to engage across all levels onsite.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Experience in similar leadership roles in Food manufacturing or related industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in technical, engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience at the Site Management level.
  • Proactive leader with the ability to achieve results and influence the team.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Ability to think strategically & innovatively across operations.
