About the position

We are currently looking for a Plant Superintendent for a significant infrastructure project located on the Eastern Freeway in VIC. This role will oversee the maintenance, utilization, compliance, and regulatory aspects of the plant and heavy vehicle fleet used on the project.

Main responsibilities

You will take charge of, but not limited to;

  • Plan, manage, organize, and oversee maintenance resources to meet time, quality, and productivity goals in compliance with Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Plans.
  • Efficiently implement and utilize the plant management system to achieve project objectives.
  • Supervise and manage labor, subcontractors, plant, and materials.
  • Conduct necessary inspections and verifications as per Project Instructions and other Project Plans.
  • Select, hire, and deploy labor in accordance with industrial agreements and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive project records.

About you

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in the plant industry with a proven track record in managing heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Industry standards.
  • Effective communication and engagement with diverse stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
