About North East Link: The Spark Consortium has been chosen to oversee the Central Package of this large road project in Victoria. The Consortium, made up of Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction, and China Construction Oceania, will handle the construction of twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. This significant package will involve a Public Private Partnership and features three-lane twin tunnels that will address the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network, enhancing travel times and reducing congestion by redirecting heavy vehicles from local roads. Approximately 135,000 vehicles are expected to use the North East Link daily, offering relief to the north-eastern region while preserving local roadways.

About the Opportunity: Spark is actively seeking an experienced Plant Administrator to join the team for this landmark North East Link project. The role entails providing administrative support to the plant team, including managing daily activities such as scheduling, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts, logistics, and purchasing. This full-time role is based at a project site, requiring comfort with on-site conditions and possession of a personal vehicle due to limited public transport access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering and managing correspondence and documentation
  • Preparing relevant documentation and maintaining records
  • Establishing an effective filing system
  • Driving service and process improvements
  • Supporting change initiatives
  • Ensuring plant and equipment compliance with safety standards
  • Coordinating plant maintenance planning
  • Managing maintenance programs
  • Stock inventory upkeep
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations
  • Handling insurance and warranty claims
  • Organization of plant hire and transport

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Secretarial qualifications or relevant training
  • Minimum 5 years of Administration experience
  • Experience in a construction environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Client-focused with attention to detail
