ABOUT THE ROLE
:

  • Ongoing Full Time Position
  • Band 8: $117,476 per annum + 11% superannuation
Are you qualified or experienced in the Building and Recreation Assets field? Are you a leader who interested in being part of an innovative and customer-focussed team that oversees the management of a range of community facilities across South Gippsland?

As the Coordinator Building and Recreation Assets, you will:

  • Develop and implement Service Plans relevant to Building and Recreation assets.
  • Coordinate Council's Building and Recreation Asset Management Plans.
  • Oversee Councils 15 year Building and Recreation Capital Works Program.
  • Act as building and recreation asset owner and be involved in prediction modelling.
  • Guide and review Asset Management systems relating to Building and Recreation infrastructure including data provision and reporting.
  • Coordinate the Development of Building and Recreation Asset Management financial methodology and reporting processes for valuation, capitalisation, disposal and depreciation of council infrastructure assets.
  • Review and implement Council's Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Strategy.
  • Undertake strategic planning for the upkeep and provision of aquatic services and facilities.

ABOUT YOU
:

You will have a Degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Asset Management or equivalent with several years' relevant experience.

This will be strengthened by your experience in preparing Asset Management Plans and understanding of asset management systems and databases.

You will be an experienced leader with the ability to mentor, develop, and coordinate staff.


With proven ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and cost estimates for building and recreation works, you will also have excellent communication skills to write and present information to the Council, key stakeholders, and the community.
