**About the Centre**
South Gippsland SPLASH is owned by South Gippsland Shire Council and managed by YMCA Victoria. As a YMCA community centre, we understand the needs of our members and visitors. We work with a number of community, sports and government bodies to offer opportunities for all our participants. YMCA is the leader in community and recreation facility management. We aim to provide the best in community care and services. Facilities include 25m indoor pool, leisure pool, toddler pool and stadium
**About the Role**
As a Swim Teacher, you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.
- Structure and design lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability
- Recommend students for level progression as appropriate
- Teach and model effective problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
This is a Casual role with an hourly rate starting at $31.13 + super.
**About you**
You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher

**Essential Qualifications**
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)
**Other Desired Qualifications**
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
- Teacher of Adults
